Toprak Razgatlioglu from the ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team showed his dominance once again by clinching pole position at the Autodromo Internacional do Algarve. This marks his fourth pole position in a row, a remarkable achievement in his career. Despite facing tough competition from his rivals, Razgatlioglu managed to break into the 1’39s bracket, setting the pace for Race 1 at the Pirelli Portuguese Round.

In the Tissot Superpole session, there was a sense of urgency as riders rushed out onto the track to secure a good starting position. Razgatlioglu was quick to make his mark by setting a blistering time of 1’39.870s, the first rider to break into the 1’39s bracket over the weekend. His impressive performance earned him a provisional pole position, with Danilo Petrucci and Nicolo Bulega following closely behind.

During his second stint, Razgatlioglu further improved his time, clocking in at 1’39.783s to secure pole position for the fourth consecutive time. Alex Lowes from the Kawasaki Racing Team WorldSBK and Danilo Petrucci from the Barni Spark Racing Team rounded out the front row, with both riders also breaking into the 1’39s bracket. This sets the stage for an exciting battle in Race 1 as the top riders vie for victory.

Behind the front row, Nicolo Bulega, Michael van der Mark, and Alvaro Bautista put in strong performances to secure their positions on the second row. Bulega’s fourth-place finish was particularly impressive, considering he missed the entirety of FP1 on Friday. The third row will see the two Pata Prometeon Yamaha riders, Andrea Locatelli and Jonathan Rea, lining up alongside Garrett Gerloff and Dominique Aegerter.

Further down the grid, Tito Rabat showcased his skills by claiming P11, while Iker Lecuona faced a setback after a crash at Turn 14, relegating him to the last position on the grid. The stage is set for an intense battle in Race 1, with the top riders ready to showcase their talent on the track.
