Blackheath Rugby Club emerged victorious in a thrilling pre-season match against Barnes, showcasing their strength and skill on the field. The game started off tightly, with both teams fighting hard for dominance. However, it was Blackheath who took control after the break, eventually securing a comfortable win.

The match began with an early try from Blackheath’s Billy Harding, who crossed from lineout ball to put his team ahead. Barnes quickly responded as wing Paul Webb scored a try out wide, leveling the score. Full-back Dylan Munro then gave Barnes the lead with a well-taken try, showing their determination to compete.

Center Joe Henry added a third try for Barnes from a close-range ruck, showcasing their strong attack. Despite Barnes having the upper hand in the middle of the first half, Blackheath finished the period strongly. Tom Baldwin crashed through tackles to score, while Mike Hoyt dived over from a tap-and-go, giving Blackheath a 21-19 lead at halftime.
